Mad God's Tiny Hut

*Cosmic Forge*

You are immediately stunned as soon as you enter this little chamber. It cannot be but the walls seem to contain more mysterious writings than could possibly be written on them... Not being able to breathe in awe and understanding nothing but few occasional symbols you realize that the inscriptions tell the story of some extremely powerful artefact, the one which could create and erase... worlds...

Wizardry 6 / Wizardry 7 Editing Features

  • Go to *Cosmic Forge* for W7 Gallery to see few screen shots of the *Cosmic Forge* for Wizardry 7.

  • For W7 supports W7 GOLD version.

  • Item Editor - allows modification of all Items' parameters and creation of new Items. Shows comprehensive usage of an Item throughout the Game.

  • Monster Editor - allows modification of all Monsters' parameters and creation of new Monsters. Shows comprehensive usage of an Item throughout the Game.

  • Map Editor - shows comprehensive information about Maps. Allows complete modification of Maps, their layouts and Events.

  • Loot Editor - allows modification of all Loots' parameters and creation of new Loots. Shows comprehensive usage of an Item throughout the Game.

  • Text Editor - allows modification of all Text material in the Game. Though for some Texts there are some restrictions apply because it is used by the Game Code.

  • Incident Editor - allows modification of all Incidents' parameters and creation of new Incidents. Incident is effectively an NPC, but often in W7 it is an interaction with the certain place/spot, so I'm stuck with Incident name instead.

  • Spell Editor - allows modification of all Spells' parameters. Somewhat restricted because it actually modifies Game Code heavily since Spells are extremely hard coded in W6/W7.

  • Picture Editor - allows modification of PIC files and Picture Info, which controls how a PIC file is displayed. Allows creation of new PIC files.

  • Save Files Viewer - allows to see the comprehensive information about your characters and the current World information. Does NOT allow any modification, since it is not a cheat tool.

    • Allows attaching to the currently running W7 game to provide auto-map and real time game information.

  • Item List  - shows all Items in one list with a comprehensive filter. Allows to compare Items and to figure out what Item is the best for a particular character.

  • Monster List  - shows all Monsters in one list. Allows to compare Monsters.

  • Spell List  - shows all Spells in one list. Allows to compare Spells.

  • Game Information Viewer/Editor - shows and allows modification of many hard coded aspects of playable Classes and Races, including Attributes, Skills, Resistances, Experience Requirements, Starting Items, Hit Points, Stamina and Mana.

  • Allows modification of Game Media (Character Portraits, Item Icons, Game Fonts, Background Images, etc.)

  • Provides 32 Patches and Fixes for W7 and 17 for W6: from the bug fixes for the original game to extensions and modification that can enrich your game experience.

Wizardry 6 / Wizardry 7 Editing Limitations

  • Due to the fact that Monster ID takes only one byte throughout the Game code, we are limited with 256 monsters only.

  • Due to the fact that Incident ID takes only one byte throughout the Game code, we are limited with 256 Incidents only.

  • Due to the fact that Loot ID takes only one byte throughout the Game code, we are limited with 256 Loots only.

  • Due to the fact that Picture ID takes only one byte throughout the Game code we are limited with 256 Pictures only.

  • For Wizardry 6 modification of PIC files is not supported due to the limited knowledge of that format.

  • For Wizardry 6 modification of Game Information is very limited due to the lack of time.

  • For W7 GOLD Advanced Spell Information is not available at the moment due to the lack of time.

    • Classe' attribute requirements, hit points, magic use, skill, bonus and professional skills, abilities and starting equipment.

    • Skills' controlling attributes and import mode.

Wizardry 8 Editing Limitations

  • Amount of Monsters is limited by 1000. With CF Agent it is 4000 and potentially unlimited.

  • Amount of Facts is limited by 1000. This is a Game limitation.

  • Amount of Locations cannot be changed, but there are quite a few unused slots for them. With CF Agent amount of Location is increased to 56.

  • Cannot create truly new Spells as their effects are heavily hard coded. Subject for Advanced Functionality.

  • There are still plenty of unknown parameter throughout the data, but mostly everything important is known.

  • Location Editor provides quite a limited functionality to edit 3D Levels, because *Cosmic Forge* is not a 3D tool, but it tries its best.

  • Something else might be that just went under my radar at the moment.
